Some Examples
The examples here attempt to cover a wide spectrum of musical styles. They are a good representation of the wide variety of mixes that we get sent, and to highlight the difference between the mix and the final master.
Some of the differences between the original recording and the final master are obvious. In other cases the differences are more subtle.
Remember, the better the mix, the less needs to be done (sonically) during the mastering process.
Each example is in the format of: 10 seconds original mix followed by 10 seconds final master.
